My story

3rd April 1990, my older Brother Jamie was born 3 months early, with only 2 heart chambers. He sadly didn’t make it and it is something that has sat with me for as long as I can remember. This is something that’s very very close to my heart and I forever think what life would have been like with an annoying older brother. The world has moved on leaps and bounds in the work and support these amazing people do.

One of the hardest things facing the what ifs he was here, what would it have been like, what would he have been. I have also unfortunately had family members go through baby loss. I feel if I can raise money for Tommy’s to support and work with another family who may also be facing these questions, then running 13.1 miles is the very least I can do.

I'm proud to be joining Team Tommy's in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 for the second time, to support Tommy's and continue their vital work to help make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone.

Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
