My story
On 2nd April, I’ll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon — 13.1 miles through the streets of London — for someone who should be here with us today: our beautiful baby, Arthur Douglas Rutland.
Arthur was lost during pregnancy, and although we met him briefly, he will always be a part of our family. This run is for him — to remember his little life, to carry his name with me, and to turn our heartbreak into something that can help others.
I’m running for Tommy’s because no family should have to face the pain of losing a baby alone. Tommy’s works to support families affected by pregnancy loss, fund research, and help make pregnancy and birth safer for everyone.
Every mile I run will be for Arthur. Every step will be a reminder that he mattered, he is loved, and he will never be forgotten.
