My story

I discovered on the 22nd of May 2021 that I was expecting my second baby, a few months later I was about to see you up on the screen for the first time. Except, you were tiny, tinier than you should have been - with no movement or a heart beat.

It was on the 15th of July 2021, I endured my biggest heart ache and grief. After several tests and scans the medical team concluded that my body had gone through a ‘’ missed miscarriage’. My whole world fell apart, I was numb and I didn’t know how I was going to navigate the unknown journey. I had no choice but to forcefully terminate my pregnancy, where I suffered a lot physically and emotionally.

I felt alone, distraught and so empty.

As a result of this trauma, I decided to join Team Tommy's in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 not only for my angel up in heaven but for all the little angels who didn’t quite make it ❤️‍🩹. Whether it was a miscarriage, still birth , premature birth etc. I hear you, I see you and I feel you.

All the money raised will go towards Tommy's charity to support their vital work to help make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone.

Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
